Hello, everyone! It's Rachel from RBergfeld Card Designs and I'm here to share a fun project with you using the brand new stamp set Beautiful Blooms - Sweet Rose.

If you're at all familiar with my work, you'll know that I'm typically a colorist (I love my Copics!), but I wanted to break out of that box and show you just how versatile this stamp set can be.

I started by cutting a panel of white cardstock to just smaller than a typical card (5 1/4 by 4 inches). I used my MISTI to stamp the image in Versamark ink and then heat embossed it in white. I felt like the upper right corner was a little empty, so I stamped the smaller blossoms again to extend the image a little. I got out my distress inks and blended them into the panel. I used Abandoned Coral, Carved Pumpkin, and Squeezed Lemonade for this particular card. I love how bright and beautiful the colors are and distress inks blend like butter! I splashed a few splatters onto the card in each of the inks to add a little bit of interest in that white portion.

I created my sentiment by die-cutting the hello four times from white cardstock. I carefully glued them all together to create some dimension. I adhered the panel to a card base and then adhered my sentiment on top. To finish the card, I pulled out my sequins and picked a few clear sequins from a couple of the Kennedy Grace Creations mixes. I was going to use some colored sequins, but when I placed them on the card, I felt like they were too distracting and drew your eye away from the gorgeous image, so I just stuck with the clear for this one.

I am relatively new to Copic colouring and only have a few so far but I LOVE it. I am going to subscribe to your blog in hopes of learning more! TFS!

One Layered Card - Featuring Kennedy Grace Creations: Time To Blossom

Hey folks! I'm back to share a card from the Kennedy Grace Creations New Release! The stamp set I used today is the Time To Blossom Stamp Set . I really enjoyed the simplicity of this set. You could totally heat emboss this and do some fabulous watercoloring, but Copic's seems to be the way to go for me lately so that's what I did. I started by stamping the image twice on my card panel. The only masking I did was a tiny bit on the stem. The name of the game was to keep this super simple folks. As I said, I colored the images with Copic's. Another thing I enjoy about the Time To Blossom Stamp Set is that you could choose any colors you wanted. I chose red-violets and yellow-greens, but seriously peeps, whatever floats your boat and it will looks great! To finish off my card, I used a added a couple of hand drawn lines to the background and I stamped a portion of a stamp that is also in the Time To Blossom Stamp Set . That's it! Easy peasy. T
