Distress Oxide experiment!

Hello and welcome to the Kennedy Grace Creations blog this fine day! Today I have a fun and different card for you as I tried something out with my new Distress Oxide inks and I thought I'd share it with you. I have been playing with different ways of using them and this was a successful attempt, it's a back-to-front distress ink blending thing... ish... sorta. Right, let's get to it! First off I die cut a panel in Strathmore Bristol Vellum water colour card stock which was going to be the front part of the card. Then I got the  Just A Rose  stamp set out and stamped it on a large piece of masking film, using a craft scalpel I cut out the rose part only. Are you getting where I'm going with this? Yeah? Can you see it? As I was doing a flower I decided to use Worn Lipstick and blended it over the "flower hole". I thought the flower needed a little bit of detail so I dabbled a little bit of Burnt Brick using a brush to created tiny...

Clean and Simple Hello There Card with Time To Blossom Stamp Set

Hello crafty and cardmaking friends! Meg here, with a quick and simple, yet gorgeous, handmade card using the Time To Blossom clear stamp set from Kennedy Grace Creations. I took the amazing floral stamp from this set and stamped it using VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto a Canson XL watercolor panel. I also stamped the sentiment, and heat embossed everything using Hero Arts clear embossing powder. Before coloring the flower, I took a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen in the color Sea Breeze and outlined the entire flower. I then blended out this very shimmery light blue color with water. The purpose of this was to add a subtle pop to the entire image since this card is very clean and simple. I then colored the flower using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens. I used the following color for the leaves: 045 Pale Green and 047 May Green. For the flowers: 302 Haze Blue, 303 Shadow Mauve, 803 English Lavendar and 083 Lilac. To finish off the card I added some purple and green sequins...

Purple Roses

Hello! Rachel here today with a super simple card for you! I started my by creating a card base from white cardstock. I stamped my roses in the corner of the card base using my MISTI and then used my Copics to color it in. (Yes, it does bleed, so I added another piece of cardstock inside the card to cover it.) I used Blue Violets for these roses which is a color I don't typically reach for (BV000, BV00, BV01, BV02, and BV04). When I was finished coloring, I stamped my sentiment directly on top of the image using some dark black ink. That's all! Easy-peasy! May birthday card

Hello everyone and hello to May! Erica on the blog today with a birthday card, which seems rather appropriate as it May is my birthday month. I absolutely love birthdays and celebrations, not just my own as I think it's a great reason to make someone feel extra special and treasured. The age doesn't really matter. Just take me, I will be 25 on the 11th, for something like the 13th time... details, details. I'm not into the whole 'ageing gracefully' thing, nope. Not me. Noooooo, Siree! But birthday cake? Oh, count me in! Right, all this talk of ageing is giving me wrinkles and grey hairs so let's get to the card instead. I have a penchant for flowers so it should not come to any surprise I decided to use the lovely Just A Rose  and my beloved Zig markers for this card. I wanted a bit of a frame for my sentiment so I stamped the flower slightly off frame in three places, with a little bit of help of a mask, in black ink and then heat embossed them with clear...

Audrey Hepburn said  "The best thing to hold onto in life is each other". Its Karen up on the Kennedy Grace Creations blog today sharing this card using the Time to Bloom stamp set accompanied by Sunshine on the Daises sequin mix. I simply stamped the flower spring 3 times along the edge of a piece card.  I placed the stamp carefully thus avoiding the need for masking, yes I was being lazy but why mask if you don't need to? I then coloured the blooms in pencil and stamped my sentiment.  The coloured piece is then cut to size and edged with a small strip of dark brown and a complimentary paper. Finishing touch a scattering of sequins . Thanks for visiting today Love and Laughter,
