Just a Rose

We have a beautiful mood board for February. So much inspiration to choose from. I decided to go with the colors and the flower as my inspiration for this card. I started by heat embossing this gorgeous bloom from the Kennedy Grace Creations " Just a Rose " stamp set. The flower was colored with watercolors and fussy cut from the watercolor paper. The watercolor background was created by smooching watercolors around on Canson watercolor paper. To get this look, the colors were each dried after they were placed.  The panel was cut with a stitched rectangle die. The sentiment is from the Kennedy Grace Creations set, " Grace's Little Note ". The card was finished off with Kennedy Grace Chantilly Cream sequin mix. Thanks for stopping buy and taking a look! Blue Christmas

Hi friends!  It's Brenda here on the Kennedy Grace blog today.  I'm sharing a card I created after pondering the wonderful December inspiration board above.  There are so many things I love about this board.  Blue is my favorite color and Christmas is my most favorite time of year, so that's where I started. I decided to make a shaker card using some of the gorgeous Kennedy Grace sequin mixes.  For this card I used Chantilly Cream and Ocean Water which look as if they were taken right off the mood board.  If you look closely you can see the beautiful iridescence of the Chantilly Cream .  LOVE THEM! I started by cutting the ornament shape from a speciality white cardstock called Stardust, 2 sheets of fun foam and a blue metallic cardstock.  I glued the fun foam together adhered that to card base made of the same Stardust cardstock.  I adhered the metallic ornament in place and added the Kennedy Grace sequins.  I am notor...
Hello, hello! Erica on the blog today with my last post for October. I can't believe it's nearly November, this year has seriously just whooshed past! My card today is a bit of a "I'm in denial it's almost winter" card, using bright summery colours. It turns out I seem to have also used the colours of our October mood board on closer inspection. Maybe my subconscious is actually more onboard with the changing seasons than my conscious self? Who knows? Anyway, let's get to it shall we before this get's all psycho-analysing, shall we? I started by cutting out an A2 stitched panel in Copic friendly card stock before stamping up the flowers from the  Kindness Medley  stamp set. One bunch of flowers in the bottom right corner and one in the top left corner. Then got my copic markers out, I used various yellow and orange ones to give my flower petals depth and highlights. For the leaves, I use a few different green ones to make sure they didn't end...

Sending Prayers

Welcome back to the Kennedy Grace Creations Blog!  I'm Jill and I've created an encouragement card for you using the Time to Blossom stamp set and new sequin mixes Cotton Candy and Chantilly Cream .  After all the recent tragedies, I felt the need to create this type of card. Using Canson XL watercolor paper cut to ~3.5" square, I stamped the main floral image with Ranger Archival Jet Black ink.  I masked the image with some Molotow Art Masking Fluid, letting it dry.  I then water-colored the background stripes using Daniel Smith Mayan Blue Genuine watercolor in varying intensity.  When that was dry, I spattered flecks of about 4 different colors (I might have been a little heavy-handed here!).  Once dry, I removed the masking fluid and water-colored the floral image with several complementary Daniel Smith watercolors.  I also used a little clear Wink Of Stella on the light portions of the leaves and the tips of the flowers.  I then used a ...
