Sending Prayers

Happy Saturday Lovelies! I changed my plan a little bit with this post, initially I thought on making a bookmark; but after listening to the story of a friend that is going through a rough time, I decided that it was better to make a card for her and sharing with all of you, specially with the ones that may need at this moment hugs and prayers, please know you are never alone! For today's card I used Beautiful Blooms Hydrangea , I started stamping my image on versamark and embossing it with white embossing powder from Hero Arts, then I colored the back of my image with tombow markers, you don't really need to be extra careful coloring with this technique since is not going to show the detail, that's why I love it! After I colored it, I fussy cut my image and attached it to my base card being careful of putting the glue only on the spots I can hide, either with an embellishments or embossed in white, then on the center of my flower I added nuvo drops in Ivory

Pink Sunflower

Karen on the blog today and I am sharing a Pink Sunflower.  This image is from Kennedy Grace Creations Beautiful Blooms - Sunflower stamp set.  It's such a lovely stamp to colour and as we are still celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness month, it is  aptly pink.  Coloured in Derwent Coloursoft pencil with the addition of sequins from the Primrose mix. Thoughts and Prayers

Hello! Rachel here today with a pink inspired sympathy card. I started my card by cutting a panel of white cardstock to the size of an A2 card. Next, I cut the border at the bottom so that the card base could be seen. I stamped my flower image onto the left side of the panel using my MISTI and then colored it in with my Copics. (R22, R20, R11, YG99, YG97, YG95, C3, C1, C00) When my image was finished, I used my MISTI again to line up my sentiment starting with "prayers" and then placing the smaller pieces after it was stamped. I stamped my sentiment in Versamark ink and then heat embossed in gold. Next, I set aside my panel and then started work on my card base. I cut a base from some Blushing Bride cardstock and then used Versamark ink and clear embossing powder to create a tone on tone effect. Because of the heat embossing on the base, I had to use a heavy-duty adhesive to keep my panel adhered. Be Creative Double-sided tape is perfect for this! I decided not to ad

Hot Pink overload

Hi, Erica on the blog today! I know, I know, me again... I'm not stalking anyone, promise. I'll keep it short and sweet today to make up for yesterday's rather lengthy post. Alright, ok. Short... ish... Yesterday's card was rather clean and simple, today's card is anything but. However, I did use the same stamp set,  Just A Rose , and the same label sentiment 'You Are Amazing' from the set. I started out by cutting out a pink A2 sized stitched rectangle, which will act as the base as well as a hot pink smaller stitched rectangle piece. Around the smaller piece I wrapped gold twine a bit randomly, to balance out all the pink. As much as I adore pink, there is such a thing as too much pink. Yes, I did just say that... Shocking, I know. I stamped up two of the flowers on pink flowery patterned paper and fussy cut them out. The sentiment got stamped up with black ink and cut out as well. To put the card together I got my trusted foam t

You Are Amazing

Hello everyone! Erica back on the blog today, with my second to last post for October. Honesty, if someone could tell me where this year has gone, that would be great. These last few months in particular have just flown by! Today I've got a card for you made with the stamp set, Just A Rose . It’s such a stunning stamp set and those label sentiments are fab too. Let's get to it, shall we? I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to do for this post, always a great start, huh? All I knew was that it had to be pink, since we are using pink to raise awareness for breast cancer with October being breast cancer awareness month and all. What I tend to do when I'm floundering about without much mojo or an idea right off the bat, is to stamp up the stamps I intend on using and start colouring. Something usually jumps out at me and ends up being a card. This time, I stamped up the flower on water colour paper with first Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and then VersaMark ink

Vintage Tea - Copic Coloring and Heat Embossing

Hello crafty friends! Meghan here, to share a fast, clean and simple card using the Vintage Tea stamp set and sentiment from Beautiful Blooms- Sunflower. The pink card base was turned into a background by repeat stamping 'Life is Better with Friends' sentiment stamp with VersaMark ink. I then added white embossing powder and heat set for a smooth and raised finish. I stamped and colored the gorgeous teapot on some Neenah Classic Crest 80lb cardstock. I colored using Copic markers and fussy cut out the image. I adhered it to the card base using foam adhesive. To add some finishing touches I simply colored the roses on the teapot with Wink of Stella shimmer brush pen and added some fabulous Kennedy Grace Creations sequins. Hope you like my clean and simple friendship card! ~Meghan Love and Laughter,

Hey crafters!! Chera here to share with you another simple card! This came together pretty quick by stamping one of the flower images from "graces little note" in black around the bottom corner of the card front. After I filled in the area enough with the image I pulled out my Clarity brushes. If you've never used them before I highly highly recommend them for sure!! Getting that soft ombre look has never been so easy!! I then added the sentiment and of course some "moonbeam" sequins because really how could you not!! matted the card front on black for a little more of a pop and the card is complete! I will be making more of these cards with multiple different colours as it was a pretty quick one to produce! Today I show it to you in pink for breast cancer awareness of course!! Thank you so much for stopping by today!!! Have a wonderful weekend...its close enough to say that right?? Chera~ Love and Laughter,

My Planner Tag

Happy Hump Day! Today I am super happy to share this very personal tag I made for my Erin Condren planner with my beautiful niece, her birthday is coming up and I wanted to make a tag to mark this special day! To make this tag, I stamped the gorgeous Rose stamp called  Splendid Roses  from Kennedy Grace on watercolor paper and embossed it with gold embossing powder from the Paper Source (you know I have a thing for gold :D ), then colored my image with zig kuretake clean color, next I wrote on calligraphy her name and birthdate. After that, I die cut my little frame and masked some stripes with washi tape and applied distress inks with my blending tool, because I love texture, I added nuvo drops matching the colors of my roses and a sticker from my planner, this tag was attached to my planner with the CoilClip connectors which I find really useful since I can attach any card or extra tag to my planner with them. To finish it up, I added   the picture
Hi its Karen on the blog today. Love yourself and make sure your breast checks are up to date.  Book your mammogram if its overdue and talk about it with your friends.  Make sure they are all up to date also. That's what inspired this card using the Kennedy Grace Creations Splendid Rose stamp set.  I wanted it to look like a drawing or sketch.  Something a little different than usual.  My design is kept simple allowing the image to work as a focal point.  I added some Mother of pearl sequins to finish it off. It is Breast Cancer Awareness month so go ahead and give yourself some Love.  Today and not tomorrow!!! And don't forget Michelle has some special offers in store with donations going to support Breast Cancer Research. Love and Laughter,

Welcome Andreea as our guest designer today

Hello there! It's Andreea and I am delighted to be guesting today with the KGC talented team. Even more so happy to be joining their efforts for raising breast cancer awareness, during this October month. This is why the project I am sharing with you today it is colored in pink.   I used one of the beautiful flowers in "Grace's little note" stamp set, which I stamped on watercolor paper with Versamark ink. It stamped beautifully and I embossed it using white embossing powder, by Hero Arts. I colored the flowers with my zig clean color brush markers, using different shades of pink. I used a stitched rectangle frame die to cut the main panel. I do need a few birthday cards this month, so the "celebrate your day" sentiment, part of the same stamp set, worked perfectly. I stamped the sentiment on a banner die cut using the Simon Says Stamp die. I sprinkled a few pink and clear Kennedy Grace Creations sequins on the main panel, for a bit of m

Floral Thank You

Hello! Rachel here today with another card inspired by the color pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month. For this card, I used my MISTI to help me stamp my Sweet Rose image repeatedly over a panel cut with a Stacked Stitched Rectangle die. when my panel was completely covered, I colored each image with my Copics. It took some time, but it was definitely worth it! When the panel was completely covered, I used my thanks die to cut my word directly from the colored panel. (Scary, I know!) I adhered the panel over a gray card base and then adhered the little pieces from the die where they needed to go to complete the words (the piece from the h, k, and s). I finished my sentiment by stamping it in Versamark on a black Banner die cut and then heat embossing in white. I adhered the black banner with some foam tape for a little bit of dimension since the rest of the card was flat. I added a couple of sequins and it was finished! Sweet Rose Kind Thanks St
