Sweet Baby Cards

Hi everyone, Heidi on the blog today! For today’s post I created a set of cards using the ubercute Kennedy Grace Creations “Sweet Baby Mine” stamp set. These cards can be gifted, one to congratulate someone when they found out that they are (finally) pregnant and one when the baby is born, or, in my case, one card is for the parents-to-be and one is for the grandmother-to-be. When people find out that they are pregnant they usually don’t tell everyone if it will be a boy or a girl (or maybe they don’t know themselves yet or they don’t want to know what the gender is) so I used gender neutral colours. To get the first card started I stamped the little giraffe from the Sweet Baby Mine stamp set on some Copic friendly paper with Memento “Tuxedo Black” ink. For my Copic (Sketch) colours I choose: E42 / E44 / E59 / E89 / YR30 / YR23 / YR14 / Y38 / YR27 / B91 / N1 / N2 / C4 / G40 / G12 / G43 / G94 and YG97. After the colouring was dry I fussy cut the image out with my Fis

Floral Hugs

Hello, everyone! Rachel back today with another way to use your stamps! I stamped out my Splendid Roses stamp and then colored it in with my Copics (R39, R37, R35 and YG99, YG97, YG95). Instead of using the full image, I cut my Hugs die from my colored portion and adhered my letters to my card base with some foam tape. I stamped my sentiment on some black cardstock with Versamark ink and then heat embossed in white. I adhered it below my die cut with some more foam tape and then added a few Moonbeams sequins. I created a new focal point by creating floral letters with my stamp! Thanks for joining me today! Friendship card

Hi guys! Erica here with my last post for June. Honestly, where is this year going?? I'm scrambling to remember the date with the days just whizzing by...! As I mentioned in my first post for June, I have a friend who's going through a bit of a hard time and I made this card with her in mind again. She lives on the other side of the world from me and sending cards and little presents is our way of staying connected the old-fashioned way. Chatting via Skype or Messenger is fab as it makes the distance between us feel shorter but we both enjoy sending little surprises to each other to brighten the other's day. She is one of my biggest card fans too so that helps! She loves yellow so I decided to make a simple but bright card for her today. This month I have kept my focus on the Splendid Roses  stamp set and ALL my cards are made using this stamp, this one is no exception. I do like showing different techniques and looks you can get from one single stamp set which is a

Love Life

Hello!  Cindy from In Love with Paper back on the blog today.  I created a fun card with Distress Crayons and a stencil.  I also used a beautiful rose from the Kennedy Grace Creations stamp set Splendid Rose .  To finish off the card, I added some wonderful sequins from the KGC mixes Red Sangria & Blue Lagoon. For a complete product list visit my blog and don't forget to say hi.  I hope I've inspired you to create something beautiful.  Have a great summer! Cindy---

Artsy Flower Card

Hi everyone, Heidi here on the blog! Today I have a little bit of an artsy card for you all: If you feel this card looks difficult to make, it’s not, I will share a link to a video where you can see how you create these circles and how you apply the watercolour and that’s all there is to it. One day I was watching this video from Maremi SmallArt on YouTube and I thought it would be fun to use this technique on a card as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WehJDh_V5iE   The only thing I did different is that I also used watercolour on the inside of the circles, but you can created whatever you like, give it your own personal touch! So, to get this card started I die cut a stitched rectangle panel with one of my nesting dies from some Cornwall Aquarel paper (Grain Fin, bright white) and stamped one of the flowers in the Kennedy Grace Creations “Grace’s Little Note” stamp set on there with some Versafine “Onyx Black” ink and using my MISTI stamping tool (this aquar

Simple Sympathy Card

Hello, everyone! Rachel here today with a quick and easy (no coloring!) sympathy card that would be simple to mass produce. I know I'm always at a loss for creativity whenever I NEED to make a sympathy card, so I like to have a design on hand that's easy to reproduce if I need one in a pinch. This is one of those designs that you can change up even for other occasions. I used a very light gray ink to stamp my roses all over my card base. (It was super hard to get them in a picture since they're so light!) I cut out my sentiment strip from a matching light gray cardstock and then used Versamark ink to heat emboss my sentiment in white on top of it. I simply adhered the sentiment strip directly to the card base with my tape runner. That's it! You could use different colored inks for different occasions or even color in the flowers in the background for a super pretty card! I happen to really like the subtle and light look of the grays for a sympathy card. Th

Splendid Roses birthday card

Hello, hello! Erica back on the blog today with a card you might recognise a little bit. If you don't, check out my last couple of cards over here on  this blog post  and you will see how one stamped panel has now ended up being three different cards. This card is basically the coloured version of those two cards. If you don't have time to check out my last post I stamped up lots of  Splendid Roses  on a slightly larger than an A2 panel and then I foiled it as well as used the negative piece for a second card. As I had a big stamped panel ready to go, I decided to colour it in using my Zig markers. To make it really colourful, I used a different colour for each one of the flowers. It's only the small buds that are the same colour. Oh and the leaves too. I managed to smudge the colours a little bit in the space between the flowers and leaves so I thought I'd colour that too to make the coloured blooms really pop. At first I toyed with the idea of starting o
