Hello Everyone!
It's Sheena Joy from Joy's Studio.
Today I am happy to be taking part in the monthly Kennedy Grace Creations Dueling DT's.
My fellow Design Team-mate, Cammy, and I are both using the same stamp set and making our own creation with it.
This is what I made:
Cammy and I choose the gorgeous Grace's Little Note stamp set:
Grace's Little Note |
I used one of the floral images in the set and. First I gold embossed it, then I colored it in with a wet paint brush and Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers (Yellow & May Green). I then fussy cut out the image. I made a gold circular frame using stitched circle dies and gold embossing powder. I also gold embossed a leaf die cut (cut from a Technique Tuesday die, Garden Leaves). I placed everything on the front panel as seen in the photo, adding gold thread nested underneath the flower. The hello sentiment is from the same stamp set & was also gold embossed. Kennedy Grace Creations sequins (Sunshine On The Daisies & Red Sangria) were the perfect finishing detail:
Cammy also created a beauty - I truly admire her talent! I have so enjoyed "dueling" with Cammy - her creation definitely inspires me!

Hi all! I'm here today with a special challenge for Kennedy Grace Creations. Sheena Joy and I are "dueling designers" today. We have both used Grace's Little Note to create a project for today.
Here's my card for today:
Given that today is Memorial Day in the US, I wanted to use red, white & blue as my color combo. I stamped one of the floral images from Grace's Little Note in Versamark on watercolor paper and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then used Gelatos to watercolor the image. My favorite technique is to scribble a bit on my craft mat, wet it and pick up the color with my waterbrush. I then cut the image out with a Stitched Circle STAX die from MFT. My layout is a great sketch from Sassy Sketcharinos and I pulled out three ribbons to create the stripes on the sketch. My sentiment is stamped with VersaFine Onyx ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then added in sequins from Dress Blues and Blackbird.
Hope you'll stop by Sheena's blog and the Kennedy Grace Creations blog for more details! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you again soon!
