Gold Quatrefoil Roses Card

Hi everyone, Heidi here on the blog! Today I have a fun and quick but elegant card for you all.

To get this card started I stamped the roses from the beautiful Kennedy Grace Creations “Splendid Roses” stamp set on Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface paper with Versafine “Vintage Sepia” ink. I clear heat embossed afterwards.

Then I started colouring the two featured roses for this card with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and my Pentel waterbrush. I used the following colours: Tea Rose, Pink Flamingo, Mid Green, Olive Green and Haze Blue. After colouring and drying I fuzzy cut the image out with my Fiskars scissors, I also cut of the third rose that comes with this stamp and masked the brown stamped lines with some white Gelly Roll Pen.

Next I started working on the background: I die cut a rectangle with one of my rectangle nesting dies from some Strathmore Colored Pencil paper and stamped one of the sentiments from the same Kennedy Grace Creations “Splendid Roses” stamp set on this panel with the brown ink as used before and using my MISTI stamping tool. After the sentiment was stamped I applied Nuvo Glimmer Paste in the colour “Golden Crystal” over a Crafter’s Workshop stencil called “Mini Quatrefoil Reversed” leaving the area around the sentiment clear and making sure that the area where the rose would be attached was completely covered. Then I set this panel aside to dry. I love the result this paste gives and the combination with this rose stamp is just awesome!

After the glimmer paste has dried I put this card together: I die cut a slightly larger stitched rectangle panel with one of my nesting dies from some matching card stock and adhered both panels together with liquid glue. Then I adhered these combined panels to a crème coloured linen textured card base with one millimetre thick foam tape and adhered the roses on top of this with 3D kit.

And for my finishing touch I adhered some sequins and micro beads from the Kennedy Grace Creations “Enchanted Evening” sequins mix with Ranger medium matte.

I hope you enjoyed and until the next time, wishing you a creative day!

One Layered Card - Featuring Kennedy Grace Creations: Time To Blossom

Hey folks! I'm back to share a card from the Kennedy Grace Creations New Release! The stamp set I used today is the Time To Blossom Stamp Set . I really enjoyed the simplicity of this set. You could totally heat emboss this and do some fabulous watercoloring, but Copic's seems to be the way to go for me lately so that's what I did. I started by stamping the image twice on my card panel. The only masking I did was a tiny bit on the stem. The name of the game was to keep this super simple folks. As I said, I colored the images with Copic's. Another thing I enjoy about the Time To Blossom Stamp Set is that you could choose any colors you wanted. I chose red-violets and yellow-greens, but seriously peeps, whatever floats your boat and it will looks great! To finish off my card, I used a added a couple of hand drawn lines to the background and I stamped a portion of a stamp that is also in the Time To Blossom Stamp Set . That's it! Easy peasy. T
