Its Karen with you on the blog today using the classic Sunflower stamp set. This is totally not what I envisaged when I started out but sometimes projects take on a life of their own.
I started by stamping my images in an orange toned ink and coloured it using pencil. I was going to fussy cut it out and I had some background paper in mind but I couldn't lay my hands on it so decided to use a stamped background instead. I masked off my flower thinking I could still cut it out if needed. I used a stamp with a language I think could possibly be latin and stamped it several times in brown ink. So now its taking on a vintage look so to I used distress ink to add some more depth and add to the vintage feel of the card.
I decided that the image needed to be on the edge so cut my card down. Added some hessian twine and a small tag before backing on brown cardstock.
