Baby Boy card bonanza!

Hi, Erica here with two cards today!

For the release post I made two baby girl card and only one boy card. Naturally, all my friends have decided to give birth to baby boys recently so that one itty-bitty card was already spoken for. Time to remedy that with another two boy cards and the sweet Sweet Baby Mine stamp set.

I started by cutting two A2 sized pieces of Strathmore Bristol Vellum card stock as I wanted to do an ink blended background for both cards. Using Post-It tape I taped strips across the panel to create a pattern, slightly different on both to keep it interesting. On one I went for blue and the other one got green and yellow. I also splattered more blue ink on the blue one and green ink on the green/yellow one.

On another piece of Bristol I stamped two baby lions with VersaMark ink and heat embossed them in white embossing powder. These got coloured in with Zig markers and then fussy cut.

On the blue card I also cut out a white frame as well as the words 'A Boy' in blue card stock which I adhered along with the little lion. Despite the water and ink splatters on the background I thought it looked a bit bare (shocker, right?) so I added some enamel accents in white as well as Nuvo drops in translucent blue.

On the green card I cut out the word 'Congratualtions' in a lovely yellow textured card stock which I adhered to the top of the card as well as the little lion just off to the side using foam tape. Because I was on a roll with the enamel accents I added some to this card as well. Getting some mint green half pearl out, I slapped those on to. Never stop a woman on a roll with embellishments!

Now I just have to write these out and send them off to the parents of the little bundles of joy!

Happy crafting and enjoy the new release!

Hugs from Erica
