Inspired by Sunflowers

Hi friends! It's Brenda here with my first post as a KGD designer. What do you think of the gorgeous mood board we've been sharing with you? I love the cool, crisp weather and the beautiful show that nature puts on during this season.

Though my home is in Hawaii now, I grew up in Kansas and had to take the sunflower and the gorgeous colors as my inspiration.

I used Beautiful Blooms - Sunflower for my feature image. I stamped the image on watercolor paper with my MISTI using Smokey Grey VersaFine ink and the heat embossed it with clear powder. I used Koi watercolors to color the image and ended up fussy cutting them both. The lovely sentiment is from the set, it was stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa. I stamped the sentiment on a panel with distress ink on the edges. I added a few sequins, from the Autumn Blessings mix which you may have noticed in the new release.

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all doing well! Today I have my third and last guest design post for you all. For this fun and colorful card I stamped one of the pretty flowers from the “Grace’s Little Note” stamp set from Kennedy Grace Creations with Memento’s “Rich Cocoa” ink on Copic friendly paper. After coloring all of the flowers with my Copic Markers I used a black Copic Multiliner 0.3 on the hearts of the flowers and created some white lines on the flowers and the leaves to make them more interesting to look at, using a white Gelly Roll pen. The background was created very easily by stamping one of the sentiments from the “Grace’s Little Note’s” stamp set repeatedly on some crème coloured linen textured card stock. New Release and blog hop!

Good Morning Crafty Friends and Welcome to Kennedy Grace Creations September Blog Hop! We are so happy you have stopped by and joined us for this very special event! I use the Kindness Medley stamp set and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder on some Canson XL watercolor paper. Used my Zig markers to color the flowers in shades of pink.
