Is this in vain...

Sometimes you just have to wonder are you doing the right thing. I make and make looking for any sort of feed back. I get a few likes but not a lot of response. I am thinking am I doing this all in vain. Am I just fooling myself in to believing that what is in my heart isn't really meant to be. Many hours goes in to a project with very little to show for it. Guess I have to decide if this all worth it or am I the fool for thinking it is. Heart is heavy tonight :{ Love and Laughter,

An Erie Tail Folio

I made my first folio album using Graphic 45 An Erie Tail .  I love this papers, they are so cute.  I got this idea from Ginger at My Sisters Scrapper . I love the fact you can get 15 photos in the space of 3/8 of an inch.  This mini has a waterfall, which is why you can get so many photos in such a small space.  I used I am Roses flowers on the front, sprayed with Lindy's Stamp Gang in Scintillating silver , it adds just a sparkle without adding color.  I also added brads from Stampin up - antique brads  just to add some extra details along with a stick pin I made. I hope this is the first of many of these folio albums.  They are so pretty and such fun to make.  I will list this in my Zibbet's store  ---- Go and check it out!!! Love and Laughter,

My take on a toilet paper roll mini album

Well, I saw this idea from Ginger at My Sister's Scrapper and thought, what a cool idea. It is not like we all don't have toilet paper rolls in the house, why not! I tried it with the brand we use and found they were too short for the chip board I already had cut from some other project. I would take the same concept and just make mine out of card stock.    I made a tube for each of the tags based on a toilet paper roll.  I did the base layer from Kraft cardstock, layering black cardstock and design paper over that.  The paper collection I used was from My Mind's Eye the Blush collection. I just love the vintage paper and I love pink so it just worked for me. There are 6 pages to this mini and tags in each page.   To the cover I added some I am Roses  pink and cream tipped roses to the front cover along with some black bling swirls I had in my stash.  I did color some white seam binding with Lindy's Stamp Gang in Cl...

A gift for my beautiful daughter Danielle

I have been watching a lot of YouTube lately of very talented ladies making altered boxes.  I thought to myself, shoot I can do that!  Low and behold, that is what I did.  My daughter, Danielle, has a thing for birds and butterflies.  I thought, what a neat idea, surprise her with one of these altered keepsake boxes.  I went off to Michaels and picked up a couple they were only $4.99, so why not. I had recently purchased the  Graphic 45 Botanical Tea , it has absolutely stunning papers and would be beautiful on this box for her. I started off by painting the wooden box with Americana Enamel paint in Light Buttermilk , then taking one of the papers from the Botanical tea collection, I used the blue stripe for all for of the sides, distressing them and inking them with Tim Holtz Distress ink in Vintage Photo .  On the top, I used a piece of chocolate brown cardstock layering the blue bird paper from the collection, distressing ...

Sunshine Mini Album 6 x 6

Hello & welcome to my blog! This is a mini album I made using My Minds Eye Sunshine collection.  I really love these papers.  I based this whole mini album on the yellow butterfly I purchased from Angelica at  LittleScrapShop on Etsy.  I just fell in love with her hand made butterflies.  The second I found her shop I just knew I had to have some! Of course, I could not get just the yellow ones :) I had to get several other colors as well!  I also found the Sunshine collection (no longer available) from My Mind's Eye and fell in love with the papers.  I made this mini based on a tutorial from a great friend of mine Cathy at So Much Scrap .  She is simply AMAZING! Since this was one of my first mini albums I needed a starting point.  I really love how it turned out.  This book has a chipboard cover with painted black edges and covered in ...
