Handmade Rainbow Love You Card with Heat Embossing & Sparkle

Hello cardmaking friends! Today I have a glittery and sparkly, rainbow, handmade love you card for you! To create this bold, shiny and colorful card I used three Kennedy Grace Creations clear stamp sets; Beautiful Blooms - Sweet Rose, Just a Rose and Splendid Rose. To begin I used my regular sized MISTI (most incredible stamping tool invented) by My Sweet Petunia. I placed a piece of 4.25"x5.5" Canson XL 140lb. watercolor cardstock right in the middle of the MISTI. I arranged a variety of roses from all three stamp sets and stamped them with VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink. The images were then heat embossed with Hero Arts clear fine detail embossing powder. After making sure all the images were heat embossed thoroughly, I used my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Brush Pens to color a rainbow on the background. I left the roses white, uncolored.  I then used one of the Kennedy Grace Creations Stacked Stitched Rectangle dies and cut a rectangle from the center of the ...

Believe in your strength, Copic coloring with Grace's Little Notes

Hello cardmaking friends. First off, thank you so much for visiting my blogpost! Today I made a clean and simple floral card with lots of masking and Copic Markers. To begin, I stamped one of the small floral images from the Grace's Little Notes clear stamp set. I then stamped it 3 other times on masking paper and fussy cut them out. I continued stamping, masking each image as I went, until I achieved a bundle of flowers in the lower right hand corner of my card panel. Once the staping was complete, I die-cut the entire panel with the largest of the Stacked Stitched Rectangle Dies. I then used the You Inspire Me stamp set and stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Onyx blaxk ink. The sentiment reads 'Believe in your strength.'  I added clear embossing powder to it and heat set until a smooth, shiny, raised finish occured.  Then it was time for the fun part (for me anyways).... coloring!!! I pulled out my Copic markers and decided I wanted to go with pink fl...

It's Time to Blossom, Stamping and Copic Markers

Hello everyone. Thank you for visiting my blogpost for Kennedy Grace Creations! To create this card, I used three Kennedy Grace Creations clear stamp sets; Splendid Rose, Time to Blosson and Grace's Little Notes. To begin, I diecut the largest of the Stacked Stitched Rectangle dies from Cryogen white, iridescent shimmer cardstock. This is my preferred cardstock for Copic Markers.  I then stamped a variety of flowers from the Time to Blossom and Grace's Little Notes stamp sets. I simply lined them along the bottom of the rectangle. I stamped them quickly and simply, next to one another, with zero masking.  I then stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink and heat embossed it using Hero Arts clear embossing powder. Then it was time for the Copic Marker coloring. I colored the flowers as follows; Orange: YR02, YR65, YR68 Dark Purple: V95, RV66, V99 Yellow: Y11, Y13, Y15 To finish off this clean and simple floral card, I added some K...

Beautiful Rose Cards with Heat Embossing and Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers

Hello friends. Meg here with some BEAUTIFUL and EASY floral, rose cards! This gorgeous card trio was created with the Kennedy Grace Creations stacked stitched rectangle dies, stacked stitched scalloped rectangle dies, Just a Rose clear stamps and/or Beautiful Blooms - Sweet Rose stamps. Do you see how perfectly these rose stamps fit into our layering dies??? It's a perfect pair! To start, I die-cut two stitched rectangles and one scalloped rectangle using our wafer thin die sets and Strathmore Bristol smooth paper. I then stamped the roses, inside the white Bristol panels, using VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink. I coated each image with clear embossing powder and heat set to a smooth, raised finish. To color I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers without any water! They blend together alone like a dream! For the leaves (on all 3 cards) I used only 2 Zig markers; 053 Yellow Green and 047 May Green. See below for exact rose color combinations. To color...

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2017, Winter Wonderland Heat Embossing, Copics, Shaker Card

Happy 2017 my crafty friends! Meg here, and I would like to wish everyone a happy, healthy and successful year ahead. 2017 is going to be a good one - please enjoy my adorable critter winter wonderland greeting card to bring in the new year. I stamped a Hero Arts/Basic Grey stars background stamp onto mixed media cardstock using Versamark, a clear sticky ink. I then added white embossing powder and melted the powder with my heat gun. This yeilds a raised, shiny appearence. The stamped, embossed design will then resist water-based mediums. Therefore, I added some distress inks to the panel. I used my mini ink blending tools and 3 different colors of Tim Holtz Distress Inks; Wilted Violet, Cracked Pistacio and Salty Ocean. I am in LOVE with this color combination lately!! Perfect for a cold winter scene! Once the background was complete, I chose this adorable critter stamp set and colored him using my Copic markers. I used the following Copic marker colors to color the enti...

Happy December 1st, 2016 my crafty friends! Meg Shea here, to share this lovely sneak peek of Kennedy Grace Creations beautiful poinsettia digital stamp. This card was created using MINIMAL supplies! See below! I laser printed this image on Cryogen white 90lb. - a ultra smooth, subtle, beautiful, sparkle shimmer cardstock (see photo below). NOTE: I get this paper from The Paper Temptress if anyone is interested.... I highly recommend it for a variety of techniques, especially Copic coloring! I started coloring it using only five Copic markers! I used B00 and B02 to color the background. I colored the flowers with N0, N2 and N4. I then added extra subtle, small details with 4 colors of Steadler Triplus fineliners. The fineliner colors used were dark brown, red, light green and yellow.  I then die cut the colored panel using the stacked stitched rectangle dies. I cut the largest scalloped stacked stitched rectangle from some Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red c...

Joy Beautiful Hydrangea Blooms - Copic Coloring

Hi crafty friends, Meg here with a clean and simple Copic marker colored hydrangea card. This card was created using the Beautiful Blooms - Hydrangea clear stamp and the stacked stitched rectangle and scalloped stitched rectangle dies! I stamped the large, gorgeous hydrangea using copic friendly, Memento ink onto Neenah Paper, Classic Crest 80lb - in the color Solar White. I then colored the beautiful image using my Copic markers. For the flower centers I used YG00. The rest of the hydrangea petals were colored with BV01, BV02 and BV04. The leaves were colored with G05, YG09 and G09. I then used the second largest stitched rectangle and cut my colored panel. I cut the largest stitched scalloped rectangle from hygrangea purple, colored cardstock from my stash. Then I heat embosssed the FABULOUS sentiment, also from the hydrangea stamp set, which reads 'Take joy in the little things.' I used WOW opaque British Summer embossing powder. This is a matte, cool g...

Vintage Tea Blessings Card, Coloring One Layer Wonder

Hello stamping and card-making friends. Meghan here, to share this gorgeous one-layer-wonder,  vinatge tea blessings card. I used the fabulous KGC stacked stitched rectangles and cut the largest rectangle from white cardstock. I then stamped these beautiful images from the vintage tea clear stamp set using Copic friendly ink (simon says stamp intense black). I stamped the cup then masked the image to stamp the teapot behind the cup. I colored all of the images with my Copic markers. Then it was time for the fun details. I went a little heavy on the little finishing touches since I was planning on this to be just a simple one layer greeting card. I added some metallic accents using my Sakura metallic and Stardust gelly roll pens. Lastly, using a fine tip black pen I went over all of the stamped black lines for the whole card. I know this seems like a tedious and unneeded step however, I assure you - it makes a HUGE difference and was totally worth the tim...

Spotlighting Kindness Card Using Beautiful Blooms - Sunflower Stamps

Hello crafty friends. This is Meghan Shea here with my first card and blogpost for Kennedy Grace Creations. I'm excited and honored to be a designer for this fabulous company. Thanks Michelle for giving me this opportunity. Blah blah blah, right? Onto the gorgeous sunflower card!!!! I used the Beautiful Blooms - Sunflower clear stamp set and Stacked Stitched Rectangles Dies to create this card using the spotlighting technique. I used some spray ink shimmer mists to create the background and cut it from the largest rectangle. Using my Misti stamping tool, I stamped the beautiful sunflower image onto the spray inked panel with VersaMark ink. I then added white embossing powder and used my heat gun to melt it. Keeping the stamp in the same location on the Misti, I then stamped the sunflower onto a smaller white stitched rectangle using black Memento ink. I colored the Beautiful Blooms Sunflower on the white panel using my Copic Markers. For the leaves I used the...
