For Baby

Hi everyone!  I hope you had a wonderful, relaxing weekend full of all that you love.  I had a chance to spend some time in my craft room and had a bunch of fun creating this little shaker card using the sweet Kennedy Grace set,  Sweet Baby Mine .  Take a look - This shaker was pretty easy to make.  The little hippo colored up so easily with Copic markers.  Warm grays along with soft pinks and greens were used to color her up.  I used a specialty cardstock for this card called Stardream.  It had a beautiful soft shine to it that I wasn't able to catch in the photo.  I fashioned a layer of fun foam with a circle cut out for the shaker and attached it to the card base.  A die was used to cut the circle and frame in the top layer and glued acetate to the back side so a window that was created.  The sequins were added into the opened window and the top layer was adhered to the fun foam (that part was a little tricky, I'm not go...

Baby Love

Hello there!  Cindy from In Love with Paper back on the blog with you today.  My niece is expecting her third baby this summer.  So, I made this card to congratulate them.   We are using a Tic, Tac, Toe board for inspiration for the first part of the month.  I used the top row- Die Cut, Rhinestones, and ribbon. I don't know if the baby is a boy or a girl so I went with pink and grey and as my colors.  I love this combo for a baby.  She has two little girls already so since I went with pink, now I'm sure she'll have a boy....LOL!  I used the Sweet Baby Mine stamp set.  I die cut the banner using a metal die and my Cuttlebug.  And the hearts were cut at 1" and 1/2" using my Cricut.   I colored this cutie with some colored pencils.  I wanted it to have a soft pastel look.  I embellished the card with some grey rhinestones and a knotted, white grosgrain ribbon.   I hope I've inspired you to ma...

God's Greatest gift

Hello holiday crafters, it's Jill in full Christmas swing here on the Kennedy Grace Creations Blog!!   My card today is called " God's Greatest Gift . "  I wanted to shake things up a bit by using a technique I had never used before - Yupo paper and Ranger alcohol inks .  I created my card background using several colors (in hindsight I would have used fewer) and the silver metallic mixative (love it!).  I then embossed the Yupo paper with a Sizzix Christmas snowflakes embossing folder that I discovered in my stash (I don't tend to use a lot of embossing folders, so I sometimes forget about them).  But that was exactly what this Yupo paper needed to make it look like a Christmas background! I then die cut Penny Black's Manger die from the middle of the central embossed snowflake on the card panel, then die cut it again from NSW #110 cardstock.  I inlaid the white die cut into the Yupo paper, then adhered some clear acetate to the back side of ...

Flower Baby Card

Hi everyone, Heidi here, today I would like to show you 'll a card combining both baby elements and flowers! To get this card started I die cut a stitched square panel from some Strathmore “Toned Tan“ paper and then I first stamped the giraffe from the Kennedy Grace Creations “Sweet Baby Mine” stamp set with Versafine “Onyx Black“ ink onto this panel (I also created a mask from Post-It paper and adhered that over the giraffe) and then I stamped the sunflower from the Kennedy Grace Creations  “Beautiful Bloom - Sunflower” stamp set partly over the giraffe, like it’s growing from behind the giraffe, with Archival “Watering Can” ink. For my sentiment I choose one of the sentiments from the same Kennedy Grace Creations “Sweet Baby Mine“ stamp set and also stamped that onto the panel using the same Versafine ink. Next I coloured both the sunflower and the giraffe with my Faber Castell Polychromos coloured pencils and the white coloured pencil from the Caran d ‘Ache...
