Winter hugs

Winter is in full swing it would seem.  It is currently snowing like crazy as I type up this post.  Is it spring yet?  LOL!  We've got a new inspiration board for Kennedy Grace Creations this month.  Take a peek. You are supposed to pick three elements, making a winning row of Tic-Tac-Toe.  I chose to use the diagonal Die Cut, Embossing and Flowers row.  Kennedy Grace Creations has many different floral sets to pick from so it was hard to narrow it down.  I picked Grace's Happy Heart . I stamped the floral image on a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock with a waterproof black ink.  I picked out three different Stampin Up colors to work with--Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry and Pool party.  I squeezed the ink pad lids to get a pool of ink.  I then used a water brush to pick up the colors.  I painted the flowers with the Rich Razzleberry and used the indigo and pool colors for the leaves and stems.   ...
Hello dear friends! Martha Lucia here to wish you the west during this year! We are so happy to have you as visitor on Kennedy Grace Creations Blog and today I am sharing a card that I made with one of my favorites stamp sets, the Grace's Little Note but to make this I used Big Letters Die cuts! I made this card inspired on in our January Challenge, a great idea using the a Tic-Tac-Toe that our coordinator prepared. I selected the diagonal line: Die Cut, Embossing and Flowers ! The easy way for my creativity time during this season of the year, because I am in transition time! Well the flowers came from the stamp set Grace's Little Note . I stamped them over whisper white cardstock using Versamark and then covered with Golden Flame Embossing Powder from WOW! I love this shiny touch that this powder gave to my flowers. After melt the powder I cut the word HEY using the Large Letters Framelits Dies by Stampin Up . I also cut the same letters using white fun ...

Beautiful Blooms

Hello crafty friends!  Martha Lucia here with you. Today I prepared a project with one of the fabulous stamp set from Kennedy Grace Stamps. I used the Just a Rose Stamp set with color pencils and some die cuts. Take a look at my card: I stamped the flowers using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink over a whisper white layer of cardstock. I pasted this layer directly over the card base hat is whisper white too. Then I colored the flowers with Prismacolor Premier color pencils and when I was satisfied with coloring I created a frame using rectangle scallop die cut and decorated paper. I pasted the frame a little moved to create the idea of movement using double sided foam tape. In a separate piece of whisper white cardstock I stamped two sentiments included on the same stamp set  Just a Rose Stamp set using two different colors of Memento Ink, Lilac Lavender and Grape Jelly. I cut the sentiments and pasted over each flower using double sided foam tape or dimensionals. ...
Hello everyone, Martha Lucia here with you today!  I want to share with you Kindness Medley : a new type of flowers. It is a stamp set from Kennedy Grace that is simply adorable because you can give different forms to the flowers and stamp them in different ways. Take a look at my card:   I was inspired to create this with the monthly mood board that is normally used on Kennedy Grace Blog. This offered me the colors of fall season and as you know the yellow flowers are my favorites so I started working on this project by stamping the flowers from the set Kindness Medley using in clear embossing ink or Versamark onto whisper white cardstock . I used my MISTI stamp positioner to help me get a nice crisp impression.   Next, I covered the entire stamped images with   Gold embossing powder and heat set it with my heat tool . To add a pop of color to these images I used my copic markers in green and yellow colors.  I used YR23, YR24, YR27, YG21...

Our newest release of Stamp and Sequins is now live and available for purchase in the  store ! Here is what I have created for you I have had my Faber-Castell Polochromos pencils for quite a while now, I do believe they were part of my wedding anniversary present last year.. in  July... so yeah, they have been around for a while but I've felt too intimidated to try them out. Nuts or what?? Well, for today's card I decided to be brave and just get on with it. And wow. Now I can't believe I waited to long to try them! I decided to use black card stock and gold glitter heat embossing for my card and the colours practically glow!! It's so cool! Right, I'm skipping ahead a little bit here, let's go back to the beginning. I have used the K...

Super quick birthday card

Hi guys! My theme this month has been quick and easy, cards that take very little time (as I have very little this month, gearing up to move house and country!) Right, are you ready?? This is another "buckle up coz it's gonna be fast"card: Step 1: grab coloured card stock. I went with bright and cheerful yellow. Fold into card size you want. Step 2: run through die cutting machine with a scalloped frame die, just off the top of the card so it doesn't chop it in half. Step 3: Stamp one of the gorgeous flower stamps from Kennedy Grace Creations  in the middle. I went with  Beautiful Bloom-Sweet Rose  and stamped it in black to make the contrast as big as possible. Step 4: Die cut a frame of black (or other colour if you fancy it) card stock and add around the flower to frame it prettily. Step 5: Add sentiment. I used a die cut word and stamped another one to make it say 'Happy Birthday'. Again, I used black to keep it simple but elegant. Step 6: Add...

Heartfelt Thanks with Erica

Hello, Erica back on the blog today. I've swapped a day with poor Rachel who has done her back in but she's going to cover one of my dates while I'm moving house at the end of the month and beginning of next. A Thank You card seemed appropriate for today's post with that in mind. I stamped up the lovely bloom from  Just A Rose  and coloured it in with my Copic markers. I wanted a light and bright look so I used a flicking motion and left plenty of white space on the petals. The leaves I did in a similar manner but the stamens in the middle got a dark pink colour. I fussy cut the flower out and added foam tape to the back of it while I was in a cutting frenzy. Once that was done I set it aside and started on the background. Grabbing my new Distress Oxide inks I blended some green shades all over a card panel. My first idea was to stamp up some leaves on it and make it look like a rose bush on which the flower would sit. I decided on trying something new inste...

Super simple card with Erica

Buckle up people, today's card and post is a super quick one! Ready? I got some pink card stock out and used a scalloped square card die to create a card base. In the middle of the front I also die cut a scalloped circle to make a peek-a-boo card. On the inside of the card I stamped  Just A Rose  in black ink and added some details with Copic markers. Just some simple shading on the petals and some green on the leaves as well as some colour to the stamens. On the front I added a few clear gemstones and then it was done! Bam! Anyone got whiplash from that? LOL!! Sorry if you did but there isn't much more to add to this post so I will leave you to recover in peace now. Love and Laughter, Erica

Summery Thank You

Hello, hello! Erica back on the blog today with a bright, cheery and summery Thank You card. Yep, I'm continuing my thank you card collection. Now, what says summer better than sunflowers? I can't think of many things that score a higher summer score than the lovely sunflower myself so I decided to stamp and mask a few on today's card. I had already decided to use my Zig markers for this card so I used MFT hybrid ink on water colour card stock, I have not had any problems with this ink running or smudging while using my Zig markers on it. The first sunflower  I stamped just off the panel and then I did the same thing on the other side of the panel. Getting my masks out, I covered up the bits I didn't want to overlap and stamped the third one in the middle, slightly lower than the others. Once it was all stamped and ready, it was time to colour! I love this part! It's so much fin to see how it  all starts to come to life and become a small piece of art.... ...

A bright Thank You note

Hello everyone and hello July! Yikes, who else is in total disbelief that we are over halfway through 2017 already?? Come on now, show of hands, I can't be the only one surely? This month I'm going to focus on Thank You notes as we will be moving next month and I want to make sure I say a proper thank you to everyone that already has and those who will be giving us a hand with various tasks as well as have made our time in Denmark lovely. One of my favourite flowers are dark pink peonies and I used these as a colour reference when I did the colouring for this card, even though the stamp itself if technically a rose. Just bear with me on this. As I planned on using my Zig markers again I got my Strathmore Bristol Vellum water colour card stock out and cut a smallish rectangle using a die from Avery Elle which has a cute stitched pattern around the edges. I dusted it generously with my anti-static tool and then stamped the  Just a Rose  on the left side in VersaMark ink ...
