Happy New Year from Kennedy Grace Creations!

Happy New Year to you all!  It's Brenda here, and I'm kicking off 2018 for Kennedy Grace Creations .  This month we are switching it up a bit and instead of having a mood board, we have a fun Tic Tac Toe Board for inspiration. I picked the bottom row to inspire my card so I will be using buttons, sequins and flowers on my creation.  It seemed so perfect with all the wonderful flower sets and the awesome sequin collections.  I chose to use the beautiful stamp set Kindness Medley  and a wonderful sequin collection called Enchanted Evening .  Here's what happened - I stamped the flower (Tic) image three times on heavyweight vellum with VersaMark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I colored the flowers on the back of the vellum using Copic Markers.  The sentiment was stamped with VersaFine ink to get the nice dark image.  I love the size of this stamp which is also in the Kindness Medley set.  I put my ScanNCut ...

Blue and Silver

Hi everyone, Heidi here, today I would like to show you a mood board inspired card! I don’t use blue as a flower colour very much but on this card I really love the end result. This is the mood board all the KGC Design Team Members are working with this month: To get this card started I stamped the flower image from the Kennedy Grace Creations “Kindness Medley“ stamp set onto some Canson 1557 (180 gr./extra white) paper using Versafine “Onyx Black” ink and my MISTI. Then I coloured the flowers with my Faber Castell Polychromos coloured pencils in the numbers 151, 157, 112, 165, 187 and 186 and the one Holbein Artists‘ Colored Pencil in the colour Lavender Blue (from the Pastel Tone set that you can buy on Ebay). When the colouring was done I fussy cut the image out using my Fiskars scissors and leaving a small white edge. For my sentiment I choose one of my favourite sentiments from Kennedy Grace Creations and it’s from the “Beautiful Blooms - Sweet ...

Rachel's November Mood Board

Hello! Rachel here today with some inspiration from our November Mood Board! I love the red and gold in these photos and so I knew I wanted to create something using those particular colors. Then I remembered a video Jennifer McGuire did quite a while back using deco foil transfer gel to create foiled backgrounds and decided to do it myself! To see her excellent video, please click here . I used her tutorial to create that beautiful gold background on some Crumb Cake cardstock and then adhered it to a white card base using some double sided tape. I cut out a piece of a white cardstock with my twisted stitch border dies and then stamped my sentiment on it using Versamark ink and then heat embossed in gold to match the background. I stamped the floral image on a separate piece of cardstock and colored it in with my copics and then fussy cut around it. I used some more double sided tape to adhere it to my card front and I was all done! Here's a close-up of all tha...

Farewell, Adieu, So Long

Hello everyone! Erica here with a bitter-sweet post, it is my last one as a DT member for Kennedy Grace Creations. I have decided to step down from the team to focus on my own blog, which is called CaCaCraft by Erica  and some exciting future endeavours coming my way. More will be revealed later this month and I’m so excited about it I can barely contain myself! Anyway, as this is my last post I thought I’d go out with a super, simple card focusing on an important message: Instead of going for something floral (big shocker, I know!! The flower mad girl ISN’T using a flower stamp?! Whatever next?) I used the sentiment ‘Sprinke each day with Kindness’ from the stamp set  Kindness Medley  and heatembossed it on black card stock with rose gold embossing powder. My idea was to create a shower of sequins falling over the sentiment to tie in with the ‘sprinkle’ in the sentiment. The sequins I used are from the fusion mix called  Unicorn  and I picked ou...

Baby Congratulations

Hello everybody! It's Donna here, and spring has finally sprung in my part of the world! I'm so excited to see the sun after so long. I've made a baby congratulations card to share with you today. I've used the Sweet Baby Mine stamp set to make this card. I stamped the sweet image in Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured it in using only very pale Copic markers.  I cut a window in a piece of white cardstock to make a shaker card. The sequins I used are from Kennedy Grace and are called Kindness Medley . Finally, to stamp the sentiment, I used two colours of ink, first inking up the whole stamp in light blue, and then inking just the lower part in a darker shade of blue. So until next time, may your days be filled with sparkle! Blessings,  Donna

With Loving Kindness Card

Beverly Jordan here today with a card inspired by the October Mood board.                                        For today's card, I am using Kennedy Grace Creations  Kindness Medley stamp set  and  Autumn Blessing Sequins Mix  from our Fall 2017 releases. First I stamped the flowers from the set and colored it in with my Copics in the following colors: YR04, Y35, YG06, YG13, V15, V17, C1, C3.  I chose colors that would match with this month's mood board!! So yummy!! Other supplies include: Rectangle stitched dies, the curve die is from my stash as well. Embossing powder: American Crafts Brand Zing Metallic finish in Copper used with Versa Mark ink pad, and two way glue for the flower centers. Black cardstock and Neenah Bright White for pa...
Hello everyone, Martha Lucia here with you today!  I want to share with you Kindness Medley : a new type of flowers. It is a stamp set from Kennedy Grace that is simply adorable because you can give different forms to the flowers and stamp them in different ways. Take a look at my card:   I was inspired to create this with the monthly mood board that is normally used on Kennedy Grace Blog. This offered me the colors of fall season and as you know the yellow flowers are my favorites so I started working on this project by stamping the flowers from the set Kindness Medley using in clear embossing ink or Versamark onto whisper white cardstock . I used my MISTI stamp positioner to help me get a nice crisp impression.   Next, I covered the entire stamped images with   Gold embossing powder and heat set it with my heat tool . To add a pop of color to these images I used my copic markers in green and yellow colors.  I used YR23, YR24, YR27, YG21...

October Mood board with Erica

Hello! Erica on the blog today with my take of our October Mood board. It's full of fun colours and textures but I immediately knew I wanted to use these new Cathrine Pooler inks a friend sent me recently. It was like a stroke of fate, the colours my friend sent perfectly matched the mood board! It just had to be done. I started my placing the big 'kindess' stamp from  Kindness Medley  in my MISTI and then I got to work with my inks. These inks are so juicy and stamp incredibly well, I am so impressed! Saying that, I do prefer to use my MISTI whenever I stamp up anything, just in case the lines aren't as solid as I'd like or the colour doesn't cover the image very well. It is definitely one of my absolute must-haves. Anyway, after stamping away for a while I had a nice and bright panel which I used as my background. To incorporate some of the other colours on the mood board I decided to cut out the panel with a scalloped die so i...

Our newest release of Stamp and Sequins is now live and available for purchase in the  store ! Here is what I have created for you I have had my Faber-Castell Polochromos pencils for quite a while now, I do believe they were part of my wedding anniversary present last year.. in  July... so yeah, they have been around for a while but I've felt too intimidated to try them out. Nuts or what?? Well, for today's card I decided to be brave and just get on with it. And wow. Now I can't believe I waited to long to try them! I decided to use black card stock and gold glitter heat embossing for my card and the colours practically glow!! It's so cool! Right, I'm skipping ahead a little bit here, let's go back to the beginning. I have used the K...
