Floral Friend

Hello, everyone! It's Rachel back again today with a floral friendship card. I started by stamping my roses on a scrap piece of white cardstock and then coloring them in with my Copics. Red - R35, R37, R39 Green - YG95, YG97, YG99 Gray - C00, C1, C3 I then centered the roses in a circle die and cut them out. I set that aside to start on my card base. I stamped my script background stamp in Smoke ink and then adhered my circle piece on top. I cut a banner from some black cardstock and then stamped the first part of my sentiment on it in Versamark ink and heat embossed in white. I cut the "friend" part of the sentiment from some white cardstock and then covered it in Versamark ink and heat embossed in silver to create my own metallic paper. I carefully adhered the banner over the bottom of the circular piece and then used my multi-medium matte to adhere the die cut on top of the banner. I decided to keep it simple and forgo the sequins for ...

Floral Hugs

Hello, everyone! Rachel back today with another way to use your stamps! I stamped out my Splendid Roses stamp and then colored it in with my Copics (R39, R37, R35 and YG99, YG97, YG95). Instead of using the full image, I cut my Hugs die from my colored portion and adhered my letters to my card base with some foam tape. I stamped my sentiment on some black cardstock with Versamark ink and then heat embossed in white. I adhered it below my die cut with some more foam tape and then added a few Moonbeams sequins. I created a new focal point by creating floral letters with my stamp! Thanks for joining me today! Love Life

Hello!  Cindy from In Love with Paper back on the blog today.  I created a fun card with Distress Crayons and a stencil.  I also used a beautiful rose from the Kennedy Grace Creations stamp set Splendid Rose .  To finish off the card, I added some wonderful sequins from the KGC mixes Red Sangria & Blue Lagoon. For a complete product list visit my blog and don't forget to say hi.  I hope I've inspired you to create something beautiful.  Have a great summer! Cindy---

Simple Sympathy Card

Hello, everyone! Rachel here today with a quick and easy (no coloring!) sympathy card that would be simple to mass produce. I know I'm always at a loss for creativity whenever I NEED to make a sympathy card, so I like to have a design on hand that's easy to reproduce if I need one in a pinch. This is one of those designs that you can change up even for other occasions. I used a very light gray ink to stamp my roses all over my card base. (It was super hard to get them in a picture since they're so light!) I cut out my sentiment strip from a matching light gray cardstock and then used Versamark ink to heat emboss my sentiment in white on top of it. I simply adhered the sentiment strip directly to the card base with my tape runner. That's it! You could use different colored inks for different occasions or even color in the flowers in the background for a super pretty card! I happen to really like the subtle and light look of the grays for a sympathy card. Th...

Foiling frenzy!

Hello, Erica on the blog today with my first post for June. I have two cards for you today too! A friend of mine is going through some tough stuff at the moment and I wanted to make a couple of encouraging cards to send to her to let her know I'm always here for her, no matter how far away I am in actual distance. I decided to make a big background using the  Splendid Roses  stamp set and all my pre-cut masks came in so handy for this. My panel was slightly larger than an A2 size and I used my MISTI to make sure the stamped images were nice and solid as I planned to scan it, print if off and then foil it using my Minc machine. Once I was happy with the pattern I did just that and chose Pink Minc foil on it. The negative was so pretty I decided to keep that and use it on another card (this is how the second card in this post came to be.) The foiled piece I die cut using a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die and then again in foam to add some height to it. When it came...
