Sunflowers for You

Hi there!  Cammy from Pink Room Therapy Designs here with you today.  Before we start peeking some new products from Kennedy Grace Creations, I wanted to share with you a quick one featuring the Beautiful Blooms - Sunflower  that was released last month.

When I was growing up, we had sunflowers in our backyard.  I remember sitting at the top of a step ladder to reach the tippy-top of the sunflowers.  They are such beautiful flowers -- even if they aren't all that cooperative showing their faces.

I wanted to do something unexpected for some friends recently and found bunches of sunflowers at the grocery store, which made this so easy.  I created a simple tag using MFT die-namics.  I stamped my sunflower in VersaMark on watercolor paper and heat embossed with Zing Chestnut embossing powder.  I love that it made the center that deep brown of the flower.  I then colored them up using Distress Inks (a mix of Scattered Straw and Mustard Seed and Mowed Lawn for the leaves).  The sentiment was stamped in VersaFine Onyx and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I then added the bow in brown gingham and finished it off with some sequins from Mocha Vanilla Latte.  They made sweet little bouquets!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope you've enjoyed my project!  See you again soon!

One Layered Card - Featuring Kennedy Grace Creations: Time To Blossom

Hey folks! I'm back to share a card from the Kennedy Grace Creations New Release! The stamp set I used today is the Time To Blossom Stamp Set . I really enjoyed the simplicity of this set. You could totally heat emboss this and do some fabulous watercoloring, but Copic's seems to be the way to go for me lately so that's what I did. I started by stamping the image twice on my card panel. The only masking I did was a tiny bit on the stem. The name of the game was to keep this super simple folks. As I said, I colored the images with Copic's. Another thing I enjoy about the Time To Blossom Stamp Set is that you could choose any colors you wanted. I chose red-violets and yellow-greens, but seriously peeps, whatever floats your boat and it will looks great! To finish off my card, I used a added a couple of hand drawn lines to the background and I stamped a portion of a stamp that is also in the Time To Blossom Stamp Set . That's it! Easy peasy. T
