Spotlighting Kindness Card Using Beautiful Blooms - Sunflower Stamps

Hello crafty friends. This is Meghan Shea here with my first card and blogpost for Kennedy Grace Creations. I'm excited and honored to be a designer for this fabulous company. Thanks Michelle for giving me this opportunity.

Blah blah blah, right? Onto the gorgeous sunflower card!!!! I used the Beautiful Blooms - Sunflower clear stamp set and Stacked Stitched Rectangles Dies to create this card using the spotlighting technique.

I used some spray ink shimmer mists to create the background and cut it from the largest rectangle. Using my Misti stamping tool, I stamped the beautiful sunflower image onto the spray inked panel with VersaMark ink. I then added white embossing powder and used my heat gun to melt it. Keeping the stamp in the same location on the Misti, I then stamped the sunflower onto a smaller white stitched rectangle using black Memento ink.

I colored the Beautiful Blooms Sunflower on the white panel using my Copic Markers. For the leaves I used the following colors; YG95, YG97, YG99. For the sunflower petals I used Y28, YR24, Y15, Y18.

I stamped the kindness sentiment using VersaFine Spanish Moss pigment ink and clear heat embossed. I attached this white panel to the background panel, being sure to line up the sunflower images on both perfectly. The white panel was adhered using dimensional foam tape for some interest.

Before adhering this to the card base I added some heavyweight, semitransparent vellum to the bottom and lower right-hand corner of the panel. I taped the panel to a white card base, slightly askew, to accentuate the subtle vellum details.

Thank you so much for visiting the Kennedy Grace Creations blog and viewing my card! I hope you all like it!

One Layered Card - Featuring Kennedy Grace Creations: Time To Blossom

Hey folks! I'm back to share a card from the Kennedy Grace Creations New Release! The stamp set I used today is the Time To Blossom Stamp Set . I really enjoyed the simplicity of this set. You could totally heat emboss this and do some fabulous watercoloring, but Copic's seems to be the way to go for me lately so that's what I did. I started by stamping the image twice on my card panel. The only masking I did was a tiny bit on the stem. The name of the game was to keep this super simple folks. As I said, I colored the images with Copic's. Another thing I enjoy about the Time To Blossom Stamp Set is that you could choose any colors you wanted. I chose red-violets and yellow-greens, but seriously peeps, whatever floats your boat and it will looks great! To finish off my card, I used a added a couple of hand drawn lines to the background and I stamped a portion of a stamp that is also in the Time To Blossom Stamp Set . That's it! Easy peasy. T
