Hi everyone! What did I tell you about my next card being pink in my last blog post? Would anyone be shocked that this card is in fact pink? And very pink at that! No? No, I didn't think so, lol! Well, I went for the  Splendid Roses  again but just a single bunch this time and I used Zig markers instead of Copics. Blending together 2 different shades of markers for each flower and bud I made them all look slightly different but still pink to keep it cohesive. The leaves got coloured using a single green marker but lots of water and swish-swooshing to create some texture and different vibrancy. A light blue shade was added around the bunch of flowers as I seem unable to leave too much white on a card. Something to work on perhaps. When the colouring was done and dry, I trimmed the panel until it was quite slim. Hello, this is Beverly from Beverly's blog here to share my Sympathy card using Grace's Little Note .     Since Spring has arrived, I felt my card needed more of a bright feel to it so I colored the flowers as Aftican Violets with Copic Markers, and Prisma Pencils.  I did want to match Kathy Racoosin's Day 10 card sample of using distress inks on my background. I then fussy cut the flower and stems out, and tied it with a piece of burlap thread, as she had somewhat done. The Sequins are Kennedy Grace Creations Enchanted Evening . The sentiment is from the same set.   To keep with the Spring feel of the card, I chose a floral design from Crate Paper. It matched the colors so well also. Welcome to the Kennedy Grace Creations blog. Today I am featuring the newest clear stamp set - Sweet Baby Mine. To start off the card I heat embossed the star Hero Arts, star background stamp onto watercolor cardstock. I then used my Tim Holtx Distress Inks and ink blended a night sky background. I used Salty Ocean, Cracked Pistacio and Wilted Violet distress ink colors. I then die cut the banner frame die, which I purchased on Amazon. I cut it twice from thick Bristol cardstock, and adhered them together for a little dimension. I then adhered it to the background star panel I created behind the banner frame, and cut off the excess. I then used a Darice cloud embossing folder on some light blue Bazzil Cardstock to make my card base. I added the star frame to the embossed card front. I then stamped the adorable Hippo from the Sweet Baby Mine clear stamp set. I colored her up with my Copic Markers and fussy cut her out. I then adhered this adorable Hippo to the bott...

Its Karen on the blog today sharing a card using Splendid Roses coloured a little retro.  I used pencil to colour the roses choosing orange and pink a classic retro combination.  Its fussy cut and simply placed on top of a grey and white stripe to give it some impact.  I then aded sequins from the Mocha Vanilla Latte mix. Hello, everyone! Rachel here with you today. I disappeared for a couple of weeks due to a death in the family, but I'm back and creating again. It feels good to get inky! Today's card was inspired by my great grandmother (who is actually still with us at 101 years old!). She absolutely loves yellow flowers of all kinds. I find myself reaching for my yellows whenever I'm coloring beautiful florals because of her. I started my card by cutting and folding a white card base and then stamping my image from Grace's Little Notes across the bottom 2/3. I set that aside and then cut a panel using a Stitched Scallop Edge die. I stamped my image one more time on the panel and then stamped my sentiment. I used my Copics to color my flowers. (Y000, Y00, Y04, and Y08 for the petals. YG00, YG01, YG13, and YG17 for the leaves. E55 and E57 for the stems. C00, C01, and C03 for the halo surrounding the image.) Hello! Erica back on the blog today with a card that's completely out of my comfort zone colour scheme-wise. I had several 'yikes' moments while colouring this one! Purple is one of those colours that I'm not a fan of personally, I can't wear it without looking like I'm on my way to my own funeral. It sucks any rosiness right out of my face and I look pale and grey. Not the best of look, is it? I'm not that good at using purples when it comes to colouring either but this year I'm making an effort to step out of my comfort zone and trying things I tend to stay clear of. It can be a painful process and often my husband will know when I'm doing it as instead of a serene and happy wife colouring away, he has a grumpy and grunting red-faced grizzly bear impersonator..! This card was no different but I think it turned out very pretty in the end as I kept working on it for a couple of days without throwing it in the bin (this is huge progress for me) ...

   Hello, this is Beverly from  Beverly's Blog  for today to give a sneak peak at the upcoming Sweet Baby Mine stamp set that is coming at the end of the month.  Also, a sneak peak of the upcoming sequin mix, Baby Blanket.    I was drawn to this adorable Giraffe and started coloring it with my Copic Markers. I cut a white doily, and circle cut the image. The background features a bright pink gingham to bring home the sentiment, "It's a Girl". The 3 loop pink bow tied and then added a cute white heart button to finish it! Hello crafty friends! Meg here with a quick and simple, elegant birthday card using the Beautiful Blooms - Sweet Rose Card. This handmade card has to be the easiest and quickest I have ever posted. To start, I cut the largest Scalloped Stacked Stitched Rectangle die from black cardstock. I then used the Beautiful Blooms - Sweet Rose clear stamps and stamped the happy birthday sentiment, and 3 roses randomly across the black panel. To finish it off, I colored each rose using the Spectrum Noir, clear shimmer, Sparkle Brush Pen. I added some black fun foam to the backside of the panel, and adhered it to a white, top-folding card base. Done!! Hope you like this easy heat embossing, Sweet Rose card! Hello cardmakers! Meg here, with a quick and easy, dimensional sweet rose window card. This card features the Beautiful Blooms - Sweet Rose stamp set and Scalloped Stitched Stacked Rectangle Dies. To start, I die cut 2 panels from white cardstock using the largest of the scalloped rectangle dies. I then used the scalloped circle die (which I purchased on Amazon), from the center of one of the panels. The other, solid panel, was then stamped with the sweet rose image using  Copic marker friendly ink. (I used Hero Arts - Intense Black Hybrid Ink). I colored the rose using the following Copic marker colors: R000, RV00, RV21 and RV13. To color the leaves I used my favorite green combination: YG03, YG17 and YG67. I then stamped the sentiment, "Wishing you the most beautiful day.' on the bottom of the panel with the die cut circle. I added dimensional foam tape behind that panel and adhered it directly on top of the colored rose - making a window, of sorts. To ...

Hello, Erica on the Kennedy Grace Creations blog today. I reached for my favorite stamp,  Beautiful Bloom Sweet Rose , it is such a stunning flower and I absolutely love it. On a panel I had previously cut out using a stitched rectangle die in Strathmore Bristol Vellum water colour paper, I dusted lots of anti-static powder all over it and with VersaMark I stamped the first image just off the top right corner. I covered it with white embossing powder and used the heat gun to set the powder. Then I covered it with a mask and repositioned the stamp to add lots of the little blooms that poke out from the big flower. I did this twice on my main flower and then finally added one last one in the top left cover, this one I only stamped to show about half. Once they were all stamped and heat embossed, I got my Zig markers out and chose Light Pink and Blush to create a soft, vintage look for the blooms and some greens for the leaves. When I colour with Zig markers, I always keep one...

Hello cardmaking friends. First off, thank you so much for visiting my blogpost! Today I made a clean and simple floral card with lots of masking and Copic Markers. To begin, I stamped one of the small floral images from the Grace's Little Notes clear stamp set. I then stamped it 3 other times on masking paper and fussy cut them out. I continued stamping, masking each image as I went, until I achieved a bundle of flowers in the lower right hand corner of my card panel. Once the staping was complete, I die-cut the entire panel with the largest of the Stacked Stitched Rectangle Dies. I then used the You Inspire Me stamp set and stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Onyx blaxk ink. The sentiment reads 'Believe in your strength.'  I added clear embossing powder to it and heat set until a smooth, shiny, raised finish occured.  Then it was time for the fun part (for me anyways).... coloring!!! I pulled out my Copic markers and decided I wanted to go with pink fl...
