Kennedy Grace Creations

  Hi everyone, Heidi here on the blog! Today I have a fun and quick but elegant card for you all. To get this card started I stamped the roses from the beautiful Kennedy Grace Creations “Splendid Roses” stamp set on Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface paper with Versafine “Vintage Sepia” ink. I clear heat embossed afterwards. Then I started colouring the two featured roses for this card with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and my Pentel waterbrush. I used the following colours: Tea Rose, Pink Flamingo, Mid Green, Olive Green and Haze Blue. After colouring and drying I fuzzy cut the image out with my Fiskars scissors, I also cut of the third rose that comes with this stamp and masked the brown stamped lines with some white Gelly Roll Pen. Next I started working on the background: I die cut a rectangle with one of my rectangle nesting dies from some Strathmore Colored Pencil paper and stamped one of the sentiments from the same Kennedy Grace Creations “Spl...

Hello! Rachel here today with a fun birthday card! I started my card by cutting out a Wonky Stitched Rectangle which would become to the focal point of my card. I stamped my image onto it and then used my Copics to color it. I decided to branch out and use a color combo that I don't normally reach for. I used V12, V15, V17, and V09 for my blossoms. I was a little worried because V09 and V17 are extremely dark, but I like how it looks once it's all blended and dried. I used my old stand-by of YG95, YG97, and YG99 for the leaves and E55, E57, and E59 for the stem. I finished it off with my typical halo of C00, C01, and C03 around the image to make it look 3 dimensional. I set aside my image and cut and folded a white card base. I used some Fog Gray ink to ink up my Roses All Over stamp and stamped it onto my base for a subtle background. For my sentiment, I cut a black banner and stamped in Versamark ink. Hello, Erica on the blog today, May 25th, which also happens to be my Mamma's birthday! So happy birthday to Mamma!! She's been here visiting since last Friday and is here for another week so I've not been on top of my blogging game *insert shame filled face here* and today is no different BUT I thought I could turn it into a challenge: make a presentable card, from idea to finished product, in the least amount of time. I'm not neglecting my Mamma though, she's having a lie-down after a little celebratory lunch with a few friends. Yet another reason to try and make this card, photograph the card and write the blog post in the least amount of time as to not spend too much time away from her. Hello, Beverly Jordan , here for today's post. Today's post is using the  Kennedy Grace Creations Grace's Little Note .    So many images are great to compliment another larger image, but today I am going to use this often overlooked one, to make a simple card. One that have intended for a dear friend.    First, I loved how fast and easy it was to use this particular image to make a square card, or even to use it to frame another image. I used  my MISTI tool to align the stamp for this 4 1/2 inch square center piece, and then just fliped it for each side, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad.  The sentiment was from the  Time to Blossom stamp  set. It is a sweet and thoughtful card and I plan on making more. Great to send to friends far and near. The Sequins were  Enchanted Evening  which is a collection of  sparkly sequins, stars, seed beads in green tones, and gold, and was the perfect compliment of to the violet colors....

Hi everyone, Heidi here, today is my first post as a permanent member of the Kennedy Grace Creations design team. I’m thrilled to be here and I hope to bring you lots of fun projects in the upcoming months! Today I have a not so ordinary wedding card for you all! And of course there is a story to it: a couple of days ago my father in law asked me if I could make a wedding card for a couple that is going to get married on one of the Dutch islands. I have been to this island and I know that there is a lighthouse on the island, so I asked him if it would be okay when I would incorporate a lighthouse on the card and he said yes! On the island are also bushes of which I do not know the English name: it looks like rose-hip, dune-rose or some other kind of wild rose with fairly small flowers. The flowers are usually white or pink but since this is a wedding card I felt the flowers should be red (and that would match the lighthouse nicely). So, the idea was born and the fun part coul...

Karen on the blog today featuring Graces Little Notes stamp set. I stamped and coloured the image 3 times to place inside the little windows of the die.  Each image is placed slightly differently so the 3 windows are not exactly the same. I then chose a complimentary striped paper to put in the background, popping the cream panel up on foam tape.  The card  was all constructed when I realised I hadn't stamped the sentiment.  Stamping on a completed card with foam tape under the panel is not the ideal way to stamp.  Despite that its actually not too bad, a little crooked but not awful. Hello, everyone! Rachel here today with a fun shaker card. I used the Splendid Roses stamp set and beautiful Pink Champagne and a sprinkling of Moonbeams sequins to create this beauty! I just love how it turned out! I started by cutting a panel of white cardstock with a die to create the frame and used the internal cut from the die for my rose panel. I stamped my roses on the panel and then colored them in with my Copics (R22, R20, R11, and R00 for the pink and YG99, YG97, and YG95 for the green). I stamped my sentiment in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with some Rose Gold embossing powder. (The Rose Gold is one of my very favorite powders. It looks absolutely amazing!) I adhered my panel to the center of a card base and then adhered some acetate to the back of my frame. I added two layers of foam tape to the back of the frame (the double layer helps the sequins move freely without getting stuck). I used my powder tool on the inside of the window and around the ...
