Handmade Rainbow Love You Card with Heat Embossing & Sparkle

Hello cardmaking friends! Today I have a glittery and sparkly, rainbow, handmade love you card for you! To create this bold, shiny and colorful card I used three Kennedy Grace Creations clear stamp sets; Beautiful Blooms - Sweet Rose, Just a Rose and Splendid Rose.

To begin I used my regular sized MISTI (most incredible stamping tool invented) by My Sweet Petunia. I placed a piece of 4.25"x5.5" Canson XL 140lb. watercolor cardstock right in the middle of the MISTI. I arranged a variety of roses from all three stamp sets and stamped them with VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink. The images were then heat embossed with Hero Arts clear fine detail embossing powder.

After making sure all the images were heat embossed thoroughly, I used my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Brush Pens to color a rainbow on the background. I left the roses white, uncolored.

I then used one of the Kennedy Grace Creations Stacked Stitched Rectangle dies and cut a rectangle from the center of the colored panel and from black cardstock. I adhered the outer rectangle frame to an A2 sized card front using dimensional foam tape.  I then adhered the black cardstock stitched rectangle into the frame with regular double sided tape. Using long (9") Martha Stewart crafting scissors I cut the stitched edge off of the inner rose panel. The purpose of this was so that we could see the black layer. The inside rectangle panel was then flatly adhered on top of the black panel.

The sentiment reading 'LOVE YOU LOTS' is from the Just a Rose clear stamp set. I stamped it with Lawn Fawn Manatee dye ink. Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen glitter was added to the stamped sentiment.

I hope you've enjoyed this non-traditionally colored and heat embossed card. Thank you for visiting my blogpost for Kennedy Grace Creations.

Happy Crafting and Cardmaking!!
