Peekaboo Floral

Hello! Rachel here today with a cute way to use your stamps. I started this cute Peekaboo card by cutting 2 panels the size of my card front from some white cardstock. I then added a couple of cuts to one of the panels to create a peekaboo area when layered over the second panel. I stamped my flowers a couple of times so that they would peek out from behind my top pieces. I colored them in and colored the background with my blue copics. I placed my white pieces on top of the coloring and thought that it needed a little extra something, so I matted them with some green cardstock for a little bit of contrast. I adhered my two pieces on top of my floral panel and then adhered the whole thing onto a card base. Now I needed to figure out how to add a sentiment. I toyed with several different stamp sets before I decided that I wanted to use a die cut. I cut my die from some black cardstock and then added 3 layers of clear embossing powder for some dimension and shine. I used my mult...

Beautiful Blooms - Sunflower Card

Hi everyone!  I'm here today to share a card created using some gorgeous products from  Kennedy Grace Creations .  Here's my card: To create this card, I first stamped the beautiful sunflower image from the  Beautiful Bloom - Sunflower Stamp Set with some Versamark Ink onto some Canson XL Watercolor Paper.  I then embossed the image with some white embossing powder.  Next, I painted the image with my Zig Markers and a water brush.  I used the following colors: Center of Sunflower: Dark Brown and Brown Petals: Brown, Yellow Leaves and Stem: Green, Light Green Next, I cut the water colored panel out with a stitched rectangle die and then adhered it to some design paper, then adhered the entire panel onto a standard A2 sized card base.  I stamped the sentiment, also from the stamp set, onto the panel.  I then adhered some beautiful sequins from the  Lemon Sorbet Sequin Mix onto the panel.  This was a really easy ...

Mystical Fear Not card

In light of this time of year, I wanted to do something inspiring a sense of mystery and fascination as well addressing how I fear the future in today's times. Here is what I came up with. Using my Spellbinders Mystical die set which is so beautiful alone, I matched it with old Basic Grey prints from the Curio collection and the new stamp set from   Kennedy Grace Creations Inspirational Verses . I really loved the verse, "Fear Not".  Such an important part of having faith that God is in control despite what evil men are doing. I hope it gives you comfort as well. You can see it on Beverly Jordan Blog , as well. Love and Laughter,

Loving Mom with color pencils

Loving Mom colored card is a project that I made using one of my favorites stamp sets and colored with a mix of color pencils and ink. First take a look at my card that then I will share with you my tips: I started worked on this card by stamp the big lili flower with a light ink and masking technique over a whisper white layer of cardstock . I used the Memento Desert Sand ink and I first stamped the flower of the center and then the laterals. The last one was the small. I used the masking technique to keep the individual design of each flower and don't overlap the petals and make the coloring process more interesting. I colored with different tones of blue and violet, some yellows, green and brown of Prismacolor Premier Color Pencils , this blend perfect and produce very brilliant tones. When I was totally satisfied with the coloring, I covered again the flowers with the masking pieces that I created at the initial step and sponged the lower part with Distress I...

Black and White

Hi, Marina is here! Today I'm sahring a black&white card with golden accents. I was inspired by the lovely flowers from the amazing  Grace's Little Note set . As a sentiment I used YOU ARE AWESOME from the  Just a Rose Stamps . I really love the sentiments from this set, they are very stylish! All images are stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink, I adore it's rich color.  I also used  Jack Frost Sequins as delicate accents to match the vellum. Love and Laughter,

Shakin' Things Up

Hi friends, I'm here to start off the week with a shaker card I created using the Kennedy Grace sets, Grace's Little Note and Inspirational Scriptures . The beautiful sequin mix is called peaches and cream .  I colored the images with Copic markers, die cut a few extra leaves and added a bit of Copic shading to them.  I wanted to keep all that white space to place the flowers and empowering scripture in the spotlight. Have a wonderful week! Brenda 💖

Sweet Hydrangea

Happy Sunday Everyone!! Here with a clean and simple card for you using Beautiful Blooms- Sweet Hydrangea! I love clean and simple cards with lots of white space. Could be because they are easy to mass produce or maybe its just that punch of colour that jumps out at you! For this card I stamped the hydrangea image onto white card stock and then coloured it in using a water pen and distress oxide. It worked great on just regular card stock as I didn't saturate the paper with water. Mostly made sure my brush had colour on it! Once the colouring was done I then cut out the image and placed it onto a stitched die cut smaller panel.  (The sentiment is from a Wplus9 set called Doodle Buds) Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you feel inspired to create!! Chera

Baby Congratulations

Hello everybody! It's Donna here, and spring has finally sprung in my part of the world! I'm so excited to see the sun after so long. I've made a baby congratulations card to share with you today. I've used the Sweet Baby Mine stamp set to make this card. I stamped the sweet image in Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured it in using only very pale Copic markers.  I cut a window in a piece of white cardstock to make a shaker card. The sequins I used are from Kennedy Grace and are called Kindness Medley . Finally, to stamp the sentiment, I used two colours of ink, first inking up the whole stamp in light blue, and then inking just the lower part in a darker shade of blue. So until next time, may your days be filled with sparkle! Blessings,  Donna
Hello, hello! Erica on the blog today with my last post for October. I can't believe it's nearly November, this year has seriously just whooshed past! My card today is a bit of a "I'm in denial it's almost winter" card, using bright summery colours. It turns out I seem to have also used the colours of our October mood board on closer inspection. Maybe my subconscious is actually more onboard with the changing seasons than my conscious self? Who knows? Anyway, let's get to it shall we before this get's all psycho-analysing, shall we? I started by cutting out an A2 stitched panel in Copic friendly card stock before stamping up the flowers from the  Kindness Medley  stamp set. One bunch of flowers in the bottom right corner and one in the top left corner. Then got my copic markers out, I used various yellow and orange ones to give my flower petals depth and highlights. For the leaves, I use a few different green ones to make sure they didn't end...

Shaking Heart

Karen here with you today and I am sharing a card using the newly released Seaside Breeze and Jack Frost sequin mixes.  I haven't made a shaker in a bit as to be honest I find the foam layer never goes how I want it too so I thought I would try these plastic pouches and let me tell you they are just so easy I love them. For my card I started with a design paper to match the sequins I was going to use.  I die cut the heart shape and placed a complimentary paper in behind.  I then filled the shaker with a mix of Seaside Breeze and Jack Frost sequins.  The sentiment comes from the new stamp set called Friendship Blessings  which I stamped and die cut.  I then used some orange card stock to add some accents and bring it all together. Love and Laughter,

Friendship Blessings with LeeAnn

Greetings friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here on the Kennedy Grace blog with a fun water color card that I made using the new Friendship Blessings stamp set and a few sequins from the Autumn Blessings Mix .  The process I used to make this card is as follows: Using VersaMark I stamped the image on watercolor cardstock. Using Imagine Clear embossing powder and my heat tool I heat embossed it.  Using Gansi Tambi watercolors from Kuretaki I painted the stems and flowers, choosing the colors in the Autumn Blessings mix. Using Distress Oxides in Broken China and Cracked Pistachio I completed the background. The next step was to add the sentiment which I did using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  After the project was completely dry, I used a white gel pen to add highlights to the flowers.  I used On Point Glue to add the sequins to my project.  I hope you have enjoyed my project today and will come back daily and see what my team mates have cr...

Sending Prayers

Welcome back to the Kennedy Grace Creations Blog!  I'm Jill and I've created an encouragement card for you using the Time to Blossom stamp set and new sequin mixes Cotton Candy and Chantilly Cream .  After all the recent tragedies, I felt the need to create this type of card. Using Canson XL watercolor paper cut to ~3.5" square, I stamped the main floral image with Ranger Archival Jet Black ink.  I masked the image with some Molotow Art Masking Fluid, letting it dry.  I then water-colored the background stripes using Daniel Smith Mayan Blue Genuine watercolor in varying intensity.  When that was dry, I spattered flecks of about 4 different colors (I might have been a little heavy-handed here!).  Once dry, I removed the masking fluid and water-colored the floral image with several complementary Daniel Smith watercolors.  I also used a little clear Wink Of Stella on the light portions of the leaves and the tips of the flowers.  I then used a ...

Grace's Little Note

Love and Laughter,   Hi crafters! Today I am sharing a watercolor card I made using " Grace's Little Note " stamp set.  I stamped the image on The Langton watercolor paper using Stazon ink in black.   This works great it doesn't smear.  I then used Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors.  I love the rich smooth texture of  these watercolors in comes in a pallet of  36 yummy colors.   The background paper is form Heartfelt Creations "Blushing Rose" collection the purple blended perfectly with the colors I used to color the gorgeous flowers.  I used a die from Frantic Stamper " Stitched Rounded Rectangles " one of my fave's.  I then added a "forever" sentiment along with Frosted Cupcakes sequins from the Kennedy Grace Designs store. I hope everyone enjoyed my post and thanks for stopping by!!

Blessings on Your Special Day

Hello everyone!! Welcome to my inspiration post on the Kennedy Grace Creations Blog. I have used the newly released Friendship Blessings for my card today. I took a piece of white cardstock of size 4.25" x 5.5" and drew a slight curve towards the lower part and cut it out. I stamped the flowers from the Friendship Blessings stamp set repeatedly along the lower and right border with Memento London Fog ink. I also stamped the sentiment "Blessings on your special day" from the same stamp set using the same grey ink. I colored the flowers using Copic markers - V09, V17, V15 and V12 for the flowers, Y38 and Y35 for the pollen, G99, YG67, YG63 and YG61 for the leaves. I adhered a panel of purple card stock on to a top folding A2 card base and then adhered the image panel on it by leaving a tiny margin at the top. I added Nuvo drops in Violet Galaxy color for some final touch. How do you like this card? Do let me know. I would love to hear your thoughts and comme...

Christmas Cards using KGC Stamps

Hi everyone, Heidi here! Today I woul like to show you these Christmas cards.  Now, maybe you’re thinking: “But KGC doesn’t carry Christmas stamps (yet)!“ That’s true, but today I’ll show you a way to create Christmas cards with their stamps nonetheless.   To get these cards started I stamped one of the flowers stamps from the Kennedy Grace Creations stamp set called “Grace’s Little Note“ three times onto some Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface paper using Versafine “Onyx Black“ ink and using my MISTI and clear heat embossing afterwards. I used two separate flowers from each stamp print and this way you can create two cards from three stamped flower images.   I also stamped two candles from the Create a Smile stamp set called “With Candles and Glitter“ on the same paper in the same way. If you don’t have a candle stamp you can draw a candle yourself, find a candle image on line and use/trace that or when you would like to go a little mixed media, find cand...

Bloom shaker

Hello my fellow crafters!  I hope you are enjoying a lovely fall day today!  I'm stopping by to share my latest project with all of you.  Today's card features the lovely Time to Blossom  stamp set as well as the Honey Bee sequins . I had an idea to make a shaker card since I hadn't made one in a really long time.  Then I proceeded to make it more complicated than it really was!  So to save you that headache, I'm going to just give the basics of what I did. I cut a circle out of Neenah Solar white cardstock, as well as cutting the same circle out of a transparency and a piece of vellum.  I lined the vellum up with the opening in the white cardstock, used my embossing buddy and carefully stamped the flower across both pieces of paper.  I then added clear embossing powder and heat set it. I turned the vellum over to the back and colored it with Copic markers.  I then used the same markers on the stamped portions on the white cardstock....

October Mood Board

Hello, Rachel here today with my take on the October Mood board! I immediately knew that I wanted that black to be my card base, but a black base is normally so dull. Then I remembered this leaf cover die that I have in my stash and thought it would be the perfect back drop for the gorgeous Splendid Roses stamp set! I started by cutting out my background from basic black cardstock and then adhering it to the front of a white card base. I covered the back of another piece of white cardstock with double sided tape and then cut my cover die from it again. The tape made it just thick enough that the die cuts through the paper, but leaves the backing intact. It was then a simple matter to color my die cut leaves with my copics before popping out the small pieces and fitting them in like a puzzle with my card base. This was my background matches the greens that I used to color my floral with. Next, I stamped my flowers on another piece of white cardstock and then colore...

With Loving Kindness Card

Beverly Jordan here today with a card inspired by the October Mood board.                                        For today's card, I am using Kennedy Grace Creations  Kindness Medley stamp set  and  Autumn Blessing Sequins Mix  from our Fall 2017 releases. First I stamped the flowers from the set and colored it in with my Copics in the following colors: YR04, Y35, YG06, YG13, V15, V17, C1, C3.  I chose colors that would match with this month's mood board!! So yummy!! Other supplies include: Rectangle stitched dies, the curve die is from my stash as well. Embossing powder: American Crafts Brand Zing Metallic finish in Copper used with Versa Mark ink pad, and two way glue for the flower centers. Black cardstock and Neenah Bright White for pa...
